Subject: Domino Support/Configuration for Variable Envelope Return Path (VERP)
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: ALL
Release: 8.5.1
Reproducible: Unknown

Does Domino support receiving mail, specifically messages such as bounce emails, to addresses in the form name+label@example.net, with user-specified text between the plus sign ( + ) and the at sign ( @ )? Ideally I would have a user document, mail-in datbase etc with an internet address of name@example.net. Then Domino should receive mail and deliver it correctly. This is very useful when sending email from an automated system. Bounces are a perfect example using the Return-Path header and an email similar to the above format. This way I can know precisely which email address generated the bounce.

Does Domino support doing this type of thing?
How do you configure the server to 1) receive the mail, 2) deliver it to the correct user?
